Invasive plant species are any plants that have been brought to a location and have few if any predators. They are often prolific, and can choke out gardens, as well as indigenous plant species in and around your yard and property. Kudzu being a prime example, this vine is notorious in the south for destroying vast areas of land.
Many species were originally brought in as either food or ornamental plants and have since become problematic, dominating both wild and cultivated regions and having little local use.
We will be noting species that are considered invasive here, as well as their intended uses and possible eradication techniques.
