About

Gardening takes work – yes.  Is brute force with a shovel and hoe necessary for a successful garden? – er, no.

There are smarter methods. No shortcuts, no “tricks” – just quicker ways of getting things done.  I constantly read and experiment with gardening.  I’d be happiest as a “snow bird” – having a home in central Florida in the winter, then coming back up north around April to start preparing the soil.  Since that’s not feasable with kids still in school, I’m looking into a shorter range goal of following Eliot Coleman’s “Four-Season Harvest” over the next couple of years.  Having less than one acre of land is also a challenge, so making the best use of the available space is the only option I have.   Come check in and see if we have a solution to your gardening problems.  If not, you can always ask!
